Praise God Into Your Breakthrough
— Psalm 67:5-6
As we journey through March, my heart burns with a deep conviction: this is not a month for passive waiting but a season of vibrant, expectant praise. The Lord is stirring us to exalt Him boldly, to lift up His name in unwavering faith, and to anticipate divine surprises and irrefutable evidence of His hand at work in our lives.
This month marks the 5th anniversary of NSPPD, and Pastor Jerry Eze has prophetically declared that God is bearing witness to His power among us through diverse signs, wonders, miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit!
Therefore, as we engage in prayer and declare His Word, let us infuse our faith with praise. Let your praise be a resolute, prophetic proclamation of your unwavering agreement and alignment with the truth that Divine Surprises are indeed here, and your evidence is being released, ready to manifest at any moment this month!
The Power of Oríkì: Calling God by His Names
While composing a song recently, I felt drawn to incorporate the powerful praise names of the Lord in Yoruba, the Oríkì Olódùmarè. My exploration of these poetic praises revealed a rich tapestry of spiritual expression. The awe-inspiring nature of these Oríkì (panegyrics) has always captivated me, and as I chose names for my song, I recognized a deeper calling. I needed to move beyond mere lyrical inspiration and truly immerse myself in their meaning for personal worship and prayer.
A YouTube video became my guide, illuminating this journey of discovery. I began to learn the names, diligently writing them down and proclaiming them aloud. With my rudimentary understanding of Yoruba, I practiced their pronunciation, and the act itself transformed my worship experience.
This divine encounter, along with my newfound habit of rising early to worship, praise, and pray, has strengthened my resolve to make March a month of extravagant praise. My heart brims with expectancy for divine surprises, tangible manifestations of God’s goodness, and miracles beyond comprehension. As Pastor Jerry Eze has declared, I am determined to be a carrier of supernatural proof. I refuse to be a mere spectator, I must embody the evidence of His power!
On Tuesday morning, just before the NSPPD 7 AM prayers, I composed a new song inspired by the Oríkì, Ajebiina (He who answers by fire). As I offered this melody to my King, I joyfully proclaimed more of His names from my notebook. Suddenly, the room was saturated with the tangible, indescribable glory of God’s presence, so overwhelming it defied words. What a profound, beautiful moment of intimacy with the Lord it was, a living echo of Psalm 22:3:
“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.”
— Psalm 22:3 (KJV)
I pray this Oríkì chant by Minister Samson Olusegun is a profound blessing to you. May it inspire your worship to the King of kings.
